Aloha Students and Families,
Thank you for your patience and understanding with the many changes that have been affecting your child's school routine. With the changes, the period of adjustment becomes challenging for individual families. We have seen first hand what concerns, questions and obstacles families are facing. We are here to support you throughout the year. Please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions you may have. We are in this together.
Please follow your child's homeroom teacher's schedule as closely as possible. Please take breaks as needed. We would like to have your child participate in the google class meets at the assigned blocks so they can see their classmates and spend time with their gen ed homeroom teacher. Also, according to your child's individual needs they will participate with their homeroom class for various subject such as science, social studies,etc. I will be monitoring progress and available daily to discuss any concerns you may have. I will be in close contact with you regarding any need to adjust the schedule to fit your child's needs especially during distance learning as it is new for the students and families.
I will meet with your child on google meets every morning after their morning meeting with their homeroom teacher to see how they are doing and set them up for success in their Language Arts/Reading Block. I will meet with your child on google meets for the math lesson block as well. I will be available throughout the day if you have an questions feel free to email me or call me anytime. I will help your child navigate their way virtually making it as aligned with their homeroom teacher's schedule as possible mirroring our face to face schedule upon return.
If you feel overwhelmed or need clarification please do not hesitate to contact me. I applaud ALL FAMILIES struggling with personal situations, our change in school procedures, acclimating to online distance learning during a time when our state, communities and individual families are keeping each other safe with all recommended precautions.
