Welcome to the beginning of a new school year full of excitement, hope, and possibility. Everyday at Alvah Scott I witness and feel a sense of family and community that makes Alvah Scott so special.
With 20 years of experience in various education roles, I hope to contribute to the success and learning of all of our students. My experiences include being a math and reading tutor, an environmental educator at the Hawaii Nature Center, a science teacher at Moanalua Middle School, and a vice principal at Moanalua High School. An important learning from my experiences is that the education of an individual student is affected by the entire world the student interacts with. The student learns through interactions with parents, family, teachers, peers, and the environment. In the moment, each role can be just as influential as another. Thus, I am excited and humbled to have the opportunity to be a part of the education of each student at Alvah Scott.
On behalf of my family, I thank you for welcoming us to be a part of the Alvah Scott community where WE dream, WE believe, and WE achieve.
