welcome to Scott TV channel 3 news my name is Kevin today top story is Hawaii's hot classrooms Hawaii so record-breaking temperatures this clear and it's becoming a big issue with our schools let's take a look record-breaking heat temperatures this summer The Hawaii State Department of Education is debating whether to spend 1.7 billion dollars on portable air where is and electrical fans to help cooler School the electricity cost will be six million dollars a year some classes will go to the stay cool in the afternoon teachers up and bringing Beach mats and sitting under trees to escape the Heat the classrooms have a homemade air conditioning system the only problem is you have to keep adding lights  parents get worried about the child or children some children can get nosebleeds from too much heat it also affects the learning environment this means that it affects the student scores would you rather have air conditioners or to start the school later the same way how does it feel to be in such a hot room Mass Effect do you think that you're learning it's hard to concentrate with all the snow in the room so he does yes it does because you can't really think cuz the heat makes you tired on January 26th governor play pledge to add 1000 air conditioner units to our schools it's a great start but we have a long way to go thanks Governor UK
