I hope you had a wonderful weekend! What beautiful weather we had, which is perfect for EARTH DAY tomorrow! Let's all do our part to take care of our Earth!
We just completed our Wonders Unit 5 Reading unit! A Unit 5 High-Frequency word list was sent home last week. Please practice reading these words...I will be testing your child on Tuesday, April 23rd. Good luck! :). One more Wonders unit to go!
We started reading The Magic Tree House series! If your child has been talking about The Magic Tree House, it is because I started to read a few chapters to the class every day after lunch! They LOVE it and beg for "just one more chapter"! Last week when we went to the Library to borrow books, the children practically wiped out the shelf of The Magic Tree House books! I am so happy that the children are so excited about reading and I hope this will encourage them to READ this summer! I told them that they can borrow more of these books at the Aiea Library over the summer! The mystery continues.....

-Wonders Unit 6 week 1 ("Taking Action") Unit 5 H-F word test on 4/23
-GoMath: Chapter 10 (2-digit + and -)
-Writing: Opinion Writing
-EARTH DAY!
-Science: Engineering/STEM
-Guidance with Mrs. Isaacs
-Visit to the Scott School Store on Friday
-P.E. this week: Monday, April 22nd, Friday, April 26th.
Weekly Reminders:
-Please send a labeled water bottle with your child daily. It gets very hot in the day.
-Please check your child's Homework Folders and Planners (sign please) nightly. Bring these back to school daily.
-Thank you for placing your YELLOW name sign in your window as you are driving up to pick up your child. This greatly helps with pick up.

-PE days for April: 2, 5, 11, 16, 22, 26.
-Curriculum Fair--May 6th-10th (Library)
-PTO Fun Fair--May 10th 4:00-7:00
-Field Trip to Honolulu Theater for Youth Play on May 14th. Permission forms due April 22nd.
