Hello Room 11 Ohana!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Wow...where did April go? Let's finish strong as we head into May and the last month of our first grade year. We have many events happening this month and so much more to learn and accomplish!
We will be visiting the library on Friday. There will be no more borrowing of books for the year, but Ms. Zakahi, our librarian, will be doing mini library lessons with the children. Please make sure to return your books by Friday, May 3rd.
Please visit our Curriculum Fair during the week of May 6th-10th! Each grade will be displaying their PBL projects for the year. The first graders have been working on a project called "Malama Our Monk Seals and Sea Turtles". The fair will be held in the Library from 2:10-3:30 daily. We hope you can stop by!
Just a heads up...the last day of school for students is May 30th. The dismissal times will be switched.

Weekly Reminders:
-Please send a labeled water bottle with your child daily. It gets very hot in the day.
-Please check your child's Homework Folders and Planners (sign please) nightly. Bring these back to school daily.
-Thank you for placing your YELLOW name sign in your window as you are driving up to pick up your child. This greatly helps with pick up.

-PE days for May: 1, 6, 9,14, 17, 22

-PTO Fun Fair--May 10th 4:00-7:00
