Week of 1/12/26-1/16/26

Hello Room 11 Ohana,

 

We had a very smooth start to the second semester and we enjoyed sharing stories about our Winter Break with each other! This week will be a short but busy week, with Friday being a WAIVER DAY and Monday being MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. HOLIDAY.  There will be no school for students on Friday and Monday.

 

Report cards and portfolios will be sent home on Thursday. Please sign the outer envelope and return it to school on Tuesday, January 20th.  You may keep the enclosed report card.  Also, please write a "happy note" to your child on the first page of the portfolio and return it back to school on January 22nd. In the portfolio,  you will find your child's iReady Winter Reading and Math diagnostic tests.  Many of us increased our scores by leaps and bounds...great job boys and girls! Keep on trying your very best.  The most important thing to keep in mind, is that we want to see scores improve....even a 1 point improvement is great!

 

We will begin the last theme in Wonders Unit 3 this week. On Thursday, I will be sending home a Unit 3 High-Frequency word list. Please help your child practice reading these words. I will test your child on Tuesday, January 20th. Thank you!

 

Thank you so much for your tremendous interest in our school clubs!  All club forms were sent to the office and students were randomly chosen.  Unfortunately, all clubs are closed now.
