Week of 9/25/23-9/29/23
Hello Room 11 Ohana!
Happy Fall! It's officially Fall and we welcomed the new season by practicing leaf rubbings! It was tricky, but we were amazed by the outcome! Here we go as we head into the last week of September...only 2 more weeks until Fall Break! Please stay healthy as we will be doing several assessments these last 2 weeks.
This week, we will be continuing our Science unit on "Sound". Please save toilet paper rolls and bring in 1 roll by Thursday, September 28. We will be using them for our Science activity on sound/vibration. Thank you!
This week, we will be completing Unit 1 in our Wonders reading program! On Thursday, I will be sending home a list of High-Frequency words for Unit 1. Please practice reading these words with your child and I will be testing each child on Tuesday, October 3rd.
Thank you for practicing the assigned story each week. Please be sure to bring the reading book back to school the day after the assigned reading. Thank you!
Thank you so much for turning in your Parent/Teacher Conference Request forms. I will be scheduling your conference and sending home a confirmation date/time on Monday, October 2nd.

Weekly Reminders:
-Please send a labeled water bottle with your child daily. It gets very hot in the day.
-Please check your child's Homework Folders and Planners (sign please) nightly. Bring these back to school daily.
-Thank you for placing your YELLOW name sign in your window as you are driving up to pick up your child. This greatly helps with pick up.
