Hello Room 11 Ohana!
Here we go as we head into a very busy week of Conferences, Halloween and Spirit Week! 
It's been very nice meeting with each of you and getting to know your child a little better. :) Thank you for a great first week of conferences.
This is the last week of Conferences and 1:00 early dismissal.....no conferences on Friday and dismissal will be at 2:10. 
 
Our FALL PARADE will be on Tuesday, October 31st at 8:30.  Parents are welcome to come and watch your children parade around the school in their costumes.  Get a good spot on the lanai! 
We have 19 students in our class. If you are planning to bring in treats for the class, it is recommended that treats are store bought and wrapped. Thank you! 
 
This week is SPIRIT WEEK!  Let's show our spirit by coming to school dressed in the following:
Monday- Pajama Day!
Tuesday-Halloween! Come dressed in your Halloween costume. Please no weapons such as knives, swords, ropes (fake or real). No gore, blood.  Thank you!
Wednesday-Superhero Day!
Thursday-Twin Day!
Friday-Sports Day!
A flyer was sent home the other week on the back side of the Unity Day poster.
 
PIZZA PARTY!  Room 11 will be having a PIZZA PARTY on Friday, November 3rd! We were the top selling class for our school's Zippys fundraiser. Thank you so much to all for participating!  We can't wait!  (Your children will still eat school/home lunch on Friday)  Pizza will be a snack in the afternoon. 
 
Some of you have registered for our American Heart Association challenge and received prizes! Thank you!
REGISTER at www.heart.org/schools and COMPLETE FINNS MISSION TODAY!

SPECIAL INCENTIVES:

Student raises $50 = slime 1 teacher

Student raises $100 = slime 2 teachers

Keep on signing up for BOOK BLAST!  Some of us received prized for listing 10 or 15 contacts on their forms!  A flyer was sent home last week.

-NO new Spelling words this week.

-October Book-It is due by 10/31!  Let's meet our reading goal!

-P.E. this week: Wednesday, November 1st. Please wear shoes.
 
Weekly Reminders:
-Please send a labeled water bottle with your child daily.  It gets very hot in the day.
-Please check your child's Homework Folders and Planners (sign please) nightly. Bring these back to school daily.
-Thank you for placing your YELLOW name sign in your window as you are driving up to pick up your child.  This greatly helps with pick up.

-PE days for November: 1, 6, 9, 15, 20, 27
-Veteran's Day Holiday on Friday, Nov. 10th.  No school
