Hello Room 11 Ohana,

Well it looks like Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow on Groundhog Day, so it will be an early Spring! Last week in class, we made a graph with our predictions.....ask your child what they predicted Phil would do. :)

Let's have a great week ahead as we welcome February and the Year of the Dragon! Kung Hee Fat Choy!

Here's what's happening this week:

-Quarter 3 Choose Aloha theme: "Forgiveness"

-"Special Friend" this week: BLISS

-Wonders Unit 4 Week 3 ("In The Wild")

-New Spelling words this week

-GoMath: finish up Chapter 15 ("Measurement") and Test

-Science: "Animals Help Their Babies Survive" and "Introduction to Traits"

-Chinese New Year! (February 10th)

-P.E. this week: Tuesday, Feb. 6th and Friday, Feb. 9th. Please wear covered shoes.

Weekly Reminders:

-Please send a labeled water bottle with your child daily. It gets very hot in the day.

-Please check your child's Homework Folders and Planners (sign please) nightly. Bring these back to school daily.

-Thank you for placing your YELLOW name sign in your window as you are driving up to pick up your child. This greatly helps with pick up.

-February Book-It is due by February 29, 2024.
