Week of 3/4/24-3/8/24

Hello Room 11 Ohana!
What a busy weekend with Saturday being "Read Across America Day" and "Girl's Day" on Sunday!  I hope you all had a beautiful weekend!  We were so busy last week, thus we will celebrate Girl's Day this week!

Thank you very much for supporting our Alvah Scott Book Fair! The children were thrilled to attend their first Book Fair at Alvah Scott!

There are only 2 more weeks left until Spring Break and we have a lot of work to do! Please stay healthy so you don't miss a day!

We will be publishing a class book!  Our publishing date is coming up soon and we will be working on our book for the next couple of weeks!  The first graders have been publishing a class book for the last 4 years now and the results are amazing!  The book is a very nice keepsake to remember your child's first grade year.  This year, our topic will be "Malama Na Honu and Monk Seals" and each child will be writing and illustrating a page for our class book. This week, I will be sending home order forms with your child. If you would like to order a copy of our class book, please return the order form/payment back to me by Wednesday, March 13th.  I will send you a picture of previous year's books through Class Dojo.  We will be having a Book Publishing Party in our class when the books come back from the publishing company in April!

*Reminders:  • PTO Fundraiser ends March 4th!  Thank you for supporting our PTO!
                        • PTO Meeting Wednesday March 6th at 6:30 (in person or virtual)
                        • PTO NEON DANCE Friday, March 8th from 5:30-7:30 in the cafeteria! (A flier was sent home last week)

Let's have another wonderful week families!  Let's keep our lines of communication open as always.  Thank you so much for your support!
