Week of 11/27/23-12/1/23
Hello Room 11 Ohana!
Happy Holidays! It seems that right after Thanksgiving, Christmas comes at us in no time at all! I hope you and your families had a wonderful Thanksgiving break!
Now, on to a full week of learning and new experiences! This week, we will begin Wonders Unit 3. Thank you for studying for our Unit 2 High-Frequency word test last week. You all did an awesome job!
This week, we will begin our "Special Friend of the Week" unit! Our Special Friend this week was asked to bring in a few pictures of his family to share with the class. Each of us will write a letter to our Special Friend, which will be made into a booklet for our Friend to keep forever. We are excited!
We will be having an Alvah Scott Winter Wonderland (Craft Fair) on Friday, December 8th after school. The first graders have been busy painting "Pet Rocks"! Please come and support our first graders! Thank you.

-Cultural Anthropology (Comparing our lives with Pilgrim children)
-Map Skills
-Guidance with Mrs. Isaacs on Tuesday.
-Aiea Intermediate Band Concert on Thursday.
-NOVEMBER BOOK-IT due by November 30th.
-P.E. this week: Monday, Nov. 27th and Friday, Dec. 1st. Please wear covered shoes.
Weekly Reminders:
-Please send a labeled water bottle with your child daily. It gets very hot in the day.
-Please check your child's Homework Folders and Planners (sign please) nightly. Bring these back to school daily.
-Thank you for placing your YELLOW name sign in your window as you are driving up to pick up your child. This greatly helps with pick up.

-PE days for November: 1, 6, 9, 15, 20, 27
-November Book-It is due by Nov.30th.
-December 8-Winter Wonderland Craft Fair (Cafeteria)...more info to follow.
